MEDITATION
"De-cluttering" our inner space and reclaiming the
stillness of our centre is essential for mental, emotional
& physical health. We
have to
regularly come back to ourselves. Not to escape the world,
but simply to maintain our senses and sanity in the frantic
madness of our modern environment. Nobody can realistically
expect to be in permanent, perfect bliss, and - as my
friends can attest - I too can be pretty miserable, grumpy
and neurotic at times. But that's just part of life! What
makes a difference is the way we deal with those moments. I
can show you easy & effective ways of relaxation,
meditation and reflection, that enable you to create an
inner peace & joy
when needed.
It is important to know that the experience of that state
of "content balance", as well as the easiest way to achieve
it, is
very individual and depends on your
personal, natural disposition. For some people, bliss is a
peaceful, witnessing "nothingness", for others it is a
joyful, celebrating "fullness". The differences are quite
profound, and some people's frustration with meditation is
simply due to the fact that they've tried a method that
doesn't suit them.
Aided first by guided meditations, we will explore what
practice works best for you, dispelling some common
misconceptions about meditation along the way, e.g. that it
has to be embedded in a particular
belief system or needs to be done with
your legs resembling a human pretzel...
