HELP
holistic |hōˈlistik|
adjective
Characterized by
comprehension of the parts of something as intimately
interconnected and explicable only by reference to the
whole. Medical: characterized by the treatment of the whole
person, taking into account mental and social factors,
rather than just physical symptoms.
This also illustrates the realisation that
mind, body and
spirit cannot be separated when dealing
with issues of well-being, development and potential.
Etymologically, "holistic" has the same roots as
"whole" and "holy". I aim to incorporate as many
aspects of my clients' "being" into the process as
possible – not the least in my
view of
them.
facilitator |fəˈsiliˌtātər|
noun
Someone or
something helping to make an action or process easier or
effortless.Origins: facilis (Latin) =
easy.
I like this term (better than e.g. "healer") because it
de-emphasises the importance and prominence of the
practitioner, giving the client the real credit for
successful work. It's also simply much closer to the truth,
as I am not the one doing the work, I am just
guiding & easing clients through
their own processes.
